The Forest Grove Habitat for Humanity ReStore welcomes donations from individuals, business’s, church’s and civic groups of new or used building materials, home furnishings, and other types of associated products.
Recognizing that we need to resell these products to the general public, we need to make sure that these products are of good quality, that they have usable life left to them, and that they would be a product you would consider purchasing for your own home or business.
Items We Accept
APPLIANCES – 7 years old or newer in working condition
CABINETS AND COUNTER TOPS – Solid wood fronts with ALL doors and drawers. 10 YEARS OLD OR NEWER
DOORS – NO HOLLOW CORE DOORS OR SHOWER DOORS
HARDWARE – All types
FLOORING – Carpet, unused 100 square foot minimum, Linoleum unused 25 square foot minimum, Wood and laminate – full unopened boxes.
FURNITURE – No rips, stains, odor or broken parts
HVAC – Furnaces, ducts work, fans and vents all in good working order
LAWN & GARDEN – Tools fencing, bricks and pavers, working lawn mowers.
LIGHTING – light fixtures, new and used electrical supplies.
LUMBER AND SIDING – 5 ft or longer. no nails or screws
PAINT – Labeled containers, minimum 3/4 full – NO RUSTED CONTAINERS.
SINKS & FIXTURES – Clean, no chips, cracks or other defects.
ROOFING – Asphalt, wood,metal, tar paper
TILE – Quantities over 10 square feet
TOILETS – White only, no rust or hard water stains
TOOLS – All tools in good working order with all parts and pieces
WINDOWS – Vinyl or wood, undamaged and unfogged. NO ALUMINUM FRAMES.
Items We Do Not Accept
There are certain products and materials we cannot accept, due to the fact that they are not able to be resold in a timely manner, and if not sold present a cost to us for disposal. Please help us maintain a quality inventory. Items we do not accept are listed below:
Kitchen cabinets over 15 years old.
Mattresses or any bedding.
Carpet remnants of less than 200 square feet.
Concrete tile drains.
Particle board not contained in a cabinet.
Used shower stalls or used shower tub combination.
Drop in stove or ranges.
Mirrors not contained in a frame.
Clothes – shoes and bedding
Books and magazines
Dishes and glassware
Small Kitchen appliances
Computers – TV’s – Stereo equipment
Here are some possible locations to recycle or dispose of items we do not take at the Forest Grove ReStore:

Yard Debris – Concrete – Waste Wood debris: S & H Bark and Supply – Cornelius, OR
Cardboard – Newsprint – Metal Recycling: Farwest Recycling
Due to new FEDERAL LAWS regarding lead in potable drinking water, we are no longer able to accept for resale the following products:
DISHWASHERS OF ANY DESCRIPTION
HOT WATER HEATERS
Depending upon the store inventory at any given time, there may be some restrictions on other items such as:
Cast iron or stainless steel drop in sinks.
Toilets of various kinds.
We appreciate each and every donation of materials to our store and its mission of generating funding for the Habitat for Humanity program that builds housing for families in our community.
Donations must be inspected and approved by the store manager or the intake supervisor. Donation forms are available for your tax deduction purposes.
Donations can be brought to our store at 3731 Pacific Avenue.
Items can be brought to the back gate located on the west side of the ReStore.
