volunteer with us
Do it for you, the community, & the Earth!
Volunteers are essential to the ReStore in its mission to fund the work of West Tuality Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers in the ReStore allow Habitat to involve the community in our work beyond house builds and home repairs. Volunteering with the ReStore also makes you a part of our efforts to keep Forest Grove green: we keeps thousands of pounds of materials out of the landfill every year. When you help us, you help the Earth too.
Volunteers, because they are donating their time without expectation of payment, also help us keep operation costs down so that more money raised by ReStore sales can be used to build and repair homes for low income families in Western Washington County, Oregon.
When you volunteer with us you become part of the Habitat for Humanity family. You get face-to-face customer service experience and learn new skills. You may even make new friends! No prior experience is necessary.
got a group?
We may be able to host members of your club, community of faith, or network of friends, or employees from your company, to volunteer as a group at the ReStore in a short-term gig! We also have additional volunteering opportunities with West Tuality Habitat for Humanity in our work to help build houses and repair homes.
Volunteering at our ReStore means becoming a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. Becoming a Habitat volunteer comes with great rewards and responsibilities. Volunteers are representatives of Habitat for Humanity and our mission. In addition to complying with all laws, regulations and Habitat for Humanity policies, all volunteers are expected to follow Habitat’s Code of Conduct.

What do volunteers do?
Volunteer positions in the ReStore include helping with donation intake and processing, sorting items, repairing items, stocking, picking up donations (via our ReStore truck), housekeeping, taking photos of donations, helping to create welcoming displays of items, graphic design for advertisements and more. If you have your own transportation and are interested, we may ask you to deliver printed information to various places around our community. We will work to find the best role or task for you in our ReStore family if you let us know what you are interested in.
